Lois Blakesley

Lois Mae Blakesley, 78, of Waterloo, died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at her home. Lois was born April 18, 1934, in Britt, Iowa, the daughter of Carl & Nina (Peterson) Pearson. She married William Blakesley November 28, 1953, in Manly, Iowa. He preceded her in death November 22, 2005. Lois attended MacMurray Business College in Illinois and was a Professional Business Woman in Waterloo until retirement. Survivors include three sons, Bruce (Kim) Blakesley, of Cedar Falls, Eric Blakesley, of Waterloo and Roger (Diane) Blakesley, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Marsha (Terry) Moorman, of Boone, Iowa and Claudia (Patrick) Campbell, of Cedar Falls; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Janice Delp. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, at United Church of Christ with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation will be from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. A memorial fund will be established.
