LOIS T. (RICE)
BIGELOW, was born August 14, 1917 at Popejoy, Iowa the daughter of Harold Francis and Helen Lydia (Russ) Rice. She married Malcolm V. Bigelow February 5, 1937 in Waterloo, Iowa. Lois was a dental assistant for Dr. Russ Howard for nine years. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Sartori Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years.
Survivors include her husband, Malcolm, of Cedar Falls; one son, Lawrence Bigelow of Jesup; one daughter, Janis Short, of Cedar Falls, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one brother, Carlton Harold Bigelow, of Iowa Falls, Iowa.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dr. Harold Rice, who preceded her in death on March 17, 2001.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2001 at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. A memorial fund will be established.
