LINDA KAY STAUDINGER was born November 1, 1956 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Darlyne (Kneeskern) Nelson. She married Michael W. Schatzberg on October 18, 1975 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1985. Linda married Brett Staudinger on January 17, 1992. They were later divorced. Linda was a supervisor at Waterloo Tent and Tarp before her illness. She died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, at 43 years of age.
Linda is survived by her two daughters, Krista Schatzberg and Kari Schatzberg, both of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Kayla Schatzberg and Tyler Smith; her brother, Chris Nelson of Cedar Falls and her two sisters, Lori Navarro and Dawn Bogardus, both of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Homer Lockwood.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
