Linda Mae Bell-Resewehr, 64, of Cedar Falls, died of natural causes at her home on Friday, February 18, 2011. Linda was born January 10, 1947 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Ronald and Beverly Paulsen. She married Jerry C. Flockhart on January 9, 1965. They later divorced. Linda married Kerry A. Resewehr on April 14, 1991 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was a 1965 graduate of Waterloo West High School. Linda attended Pitzi's Cosmetology School in Waterloo and worked in the field of Cosmetology until returning to college. She earned her bachelor's degree in 1982 from the University of Northern Iowa, with her career field in social work.
Survivors include her husband, Kerry Resewehr, her mother, Beverly Paulsen, both of Cedar Falls; two daughters, JoDee (Lynette) Flockhart-Fitzgerald and Chandra Bell, both of Waterloo; two brothers, Ronald (Carol) Paulsen of Cedar Falls, Dave Paulsen of Waterloo, aunt Wyona (Richard) Hagerty of Grante Bay, California, special friends, Judy Ireland of West Palm Beach, Florida, Jo Henry of Raymond, Iowa, Tammy Byrd and Hospice Compassus employees, Michelle B., Michelle W., Paula, Laura, Mellissa and Barb.
Linda was preceded in death by her son Kevin Flockhart, her father Ronald M. Paulsen, and her grandparents Dorothy and Orrie Keeler and Esther and Ray Bearer.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, and for one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
