Linda Sue Haan

Linda Sue Haan, 69, of Cedar Falls, passed away at home with her husband at her side on Monday, February 26, 2024, following a lengthy illness. She was born August 24, 1954, in Waterloo, daughter of Milo and Marie (Wingert) Van Schoyck.  Linda attended school in the Waterloo area and was in the last graduating class from Orange High School.  On March 11, 1989, she married Allan Haan.  During their marriage, Linda provided daycare in her home and she always loved taking care of her "little ones".  She was a very kind, caring and loving wife who worried more about other people than herself.  She will be missed by many.

Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 35 years; step-father, Ted Abkes; sister-in-law, Connie Van Schoyck; a daughter; 2 nephews; and 2 grandsons.  She was preceded in death by her dad; her mother; and 2 brothers, Craig and Jeff.  Linda always said she loved everybody.

Linda's Family will hold a Memorial Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm on May 1, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Chapel at NewAldaya Lifescapes of Cedar Falls.  Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Waterloo.  Memorials may be directed to her family.
