Leonard S. Daman, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Allan Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was born February 11, 1928 near Cresco, Iowa, the son of George N. and Ollie E. (Salisbury) Daman. He married Mila M. Cannon on March 4, 1950 at Harmony, Minnesota. Leonard served in the U.S. Marines from 1946-1949. He farmed in his younger years and in 1957 he began working for John Deere and Company, retiring in 1982. From 1983 to 1990 he was manager of the Decorah Airport. Leonard owned the Olde Mill Upholstery Shop in Waterloo from 1990 to 1995 and then went to work for Dietrich & Associates / Terex, where he was presently working.

Survivors include his wife, Mila M Daman of Cedar Falls; two sons, Larry (Sherri) Daman of Evansville, Indiana and Vaughn (Sandy) Daman of Evansdale, Iowa; two daughters Debra (Gordon) Davidson of Waterloo and Tamila (Don) Yancey of Cedar Falls; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and one sister Bonnie Jean (Don) Woods of Omaha, Nebraska.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Norbert and Verne Daman

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
