LEOLA EVANGELINE
BROOKS, was born June 16, 1909 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Lulu (Cotton) Perry. She attend Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Leola married Orval Brooks on August 22, 1928 in Waterloo, Iowa. She died Thursday, February 25, 1999 at the Western Home Martin Center, Cedar Falls, Iowa at the age of 89 years.
Survivors include two sons. Steven Brooks of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and David Brooks of Denver, Iowa, one daughter, Orvola Hoover of Phoenix, Arizona, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two brothers, Leland Perry of Waterloo, Iowa and Rollin Perry of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Leola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Caroline Brooks and one brother, Milton Perry.
Private Family Memorial Services are being planned. Memorials may be given to the Western Home.
