Lenora June Engel

Lenora June "Grammy" Engel, 84, of Cedar Falls passed away Monday, April 27, 2015, at Stanard Assisted Living, Western Home Communities. June was born March 12, 1931, in Clarksville, to Frances Lewis, who died following her birth, and was raised by her grandparents, George & Ida Lewis. She attended school in Shell Rock and retired from Rath Packing in 1993 after thirty-four years of service. After her retirement, she worked at Windsor Care Center in Cedar Falls. June enjoyed fishing and camping trips to Minnesota, gardening, taking care of her pets, and being "Grammy." She is survived by her caregivers Toni, Alli, & Erika; two sons,Jeff & Greg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Western Home Communities Chapel, 420 E. 11 Street, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday and one hour before the service at the Western Home Chapel.
