LAWRENCE W. BIRELINE,
90, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at his home in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was born January 20, 1916 near Adair, Iowa the son of Fred and Mary (Winkelmann) Bireline. He married Marian F. Wood November 20, 1948 at Battle Creek, Iowa. Lawrence was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He served in the European and Pacific Theatres. He was a brakeman for Illinois Central Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1975.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Marian of Cedar Falls, Iowa and ;one nephew, Joe Bireline of Adair, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and six sisters.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at College Hill Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery both in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to College Hill Lutheran Church or to a charity of your own choosing.
