LAVERA E. ZEARLEY was born February 14, 1919 at Strawberry Point, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Lena (Pfranger) Niehaus. She married Earl D. Zearley on February 9, 1952 in Waterloo, Iowa. LaVera worked at the former Waterloo Concrete, Smith Candy and Wood Products companies before retiring in 1968 as Vice President of Courtesy Finance Company in Waterloo. She died Sunday, December 13, 1998 at her home in Waterloo at the age of 79 years.
LaVera is survived by her husband Earl, of Waterloo, one step-son Lary, of Waterloo and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Thelma Schuchmann and three brothers, Louis, Raymond and Bernard Niehaus.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 1998 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Garden of Memories in Waterloo, Iowa.
