Larry Lee Lane, 65, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.  He was born December 7, 1944 in Newton, Iowa, the son of George Leo and Wilma (Bagnall) Lane.  As a young man, Larry was baptised in the Baptist Church.  He married Linda Bucklin and they later divorced.  Larry married Sally Sullivan on October 2, 1999 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waterloo.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a heavy equipment operating engineer for several companies, retiring in 2008 from Story Construction Company. Larry was a member of the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Sullivan, of Cedar Falls; his mother, Wilma Lane, of Newton; three daughters, Lisa Dekins and Lori Lane, both of Des Moines, Iowa and Lacey Archer of Colfax, Iowa; two stepchildren, Kelly Loughren of Cedar Falls and John (Julie) Sullivan of Lenexa, Kansas; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three brothers, Mike Lane of Newton, Tim Lane of Spencer,  and Jim (Liz) Lane of Des Moines, Iowa.

Larry was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be 10:30 am Monday, January 25, 2010, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 and the US Dept. of Defense.  Visitation will be 3 to 6 pm Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 5:00 pm Vigil Service will be conducted.  Visitation also one hour before service at the church.  A memorial fund will be established.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
