Larry Lampe

Larry Lampe, 78, of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo.  Larry was born October 9, 1939 in Frederika, Iowa, the son of Clarence & Rosa (Korte) Lampe.  He married Anne Oltman November 2, 1958 in Sumner, Iowa.  Larry graduated from Frederika High School in 1957.  He was co-owner of Larry & Lavern Lampe Construction Company and later worked for Carl Schuler Masonry in Waterloo.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Lampe of Waterloo; his son, Terry (Melodie) Lampe of Elk Run Heights, Iowa; two daughters, Brenda Chase of Clear Lake, Iowa and Sheryl Stockdale of Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren, Christopher Stockdale, Allie Stockdale, Josh Chase and Zach Chase; seven great grandchildren, Isaac, Abbie, Louis and Julia Chase and Memphis, Mercy and ShyAnne Stockdale; three brothers, Virgil (Pam) Lampe of Sumner, Eugene (Marilyn) Lampe of Frederika, Melvin (Maryann) Lampe of Blytheville, Arkansas; two sisters, Geraldine Piper of Texas and Darlys (Kenneth) Buhrow of Tripoli, Iowa; two sisters in law, Shirley Lampe of Sumner and Mary Lampe of Waverly; and his pet dog, Ivy.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lavern and Arlan Lampe; and one sister, Berdine Seehase.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Cedar Valley Community Church with interment at Garden of Memories.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service time on Friday, both at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
