Kevin R Kelly

Kevin R. Kelly, 62, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo from heart disease.  Kevin was born March 17, 1948, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Doyle & Doreen (Sullivan) Kelly.  He married Mickey DeMartino January 11, 1975, in Charleston, Illinois.  Kevin served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He received his B. A. Degree from Southern Illinois University and was employed at John Deere and Company for 28 years, retiring from the Service Training Dept. in 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Mickey, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Kevin Michael (Jacqueline) Kelly, of Chicago, Illinois and Brian Kelly, of Austin, Texas; his daughter, Maegan (Tim) Fitzpatrick, of West Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren, Drew Fitzpatrick, Colin Kelly, and Blake Fitzpatrick; and two sisters, Necia (Dale) Herriman, of Houston, Texas and Maureen Kelly, of San Luis Obispo, California.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Falls.  Military Honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.  Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
