Kerry Allen Resewehr, 60, of Cedar Falls, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was born November 20, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of William and Janice (Muesing) Resewehr. Kerry graduated from Clarence-Lowden High School where he was chosen for the 1977 Mid-East Iowa All-Star Football Team as a Linebacker. He loved growing up on the farm and after graduating from high school attended Hawkeye Tech where he studied Animal Science. Kerry worked for many years for veterinary clinics in Hudson & Jesup, area hog confinements and later for 20 years at Walmart. On April 14, 1991, he was married to Linda Mae Bell in Nashua, Iowa. She preceded him in death in 2011.
Kerry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents; sister, Kelly Jo Resewehr; step-son, Kevin Flockhart; grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and 2 cousins. He is survived by 2 brothers, Kirk (Kathy) Resewehr of Katy, TX and Kevin (Tracie) Resewehr of Fairfax; 2 step-daughters, JoDee Flockhart of DeSoto, WI and Chandra (Jeff Stark) Bell of Waterloo; 2 nephews, Jason Resewehr and Jarret Resewehr; 1 niece, MacKenzie Resewehr; and a step grand-daughter, Leilani Stark.
There will be no public services planned for Kerry due to the COVID mandated restrictions. A private family visitation and burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society or to the Family and condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
Kerry enjoyed being outdoors and trapped and fished in his younger years. He loved motorcycles, hot rods and the New England Patriots. Kerry followed the news and politics closely and had strong views on most topics. He was a simple man with simple pleasures and, above all else, loved his family.
