Kenneth Earl Miller

Kenneth Earl Miller, 95, Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Thuesen Cottage, Western Home Communities surrounded by his family.

Ken was born November 28, 1929 in Waterloo to the late Earl and Grace (Groniga) Miller.  He graduated from Greene High School.  Ken married Dorlene Marilyn Smith on August 15, 1951 in Greene, IA and the couple was blessed with 4 children: Rick, Lanny, Mark and Steve.  He worked at the Dunkerton Coop, retiring as the Grain Superintendent.  Ken and Dorlene celebrated 45 loving years together before her death on March 17, 1997.

Ken enjoyed golf, fishing, playing cards, traveling and the Iowa Hawkeyes.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ken is survived by his children, Mark (Deb) Miller of Bozeman, Montana and Steve (Kris) Miller of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Carly (Pat) McGivern, Dustie (Anthony) Zurfluh, Jake (Stephanie) Miller, Sarah (Phil) Blodgett, Blake (Danielle) Miller, Brooke (John) Sires, Ben (Lee Dallenbach) Miller and Brennan (Amber) Miller; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Brady, Zoey, Zack, Parker, Presley, Harper, Oliver, Mila, Hailey, Aspen, Adeline, Frank, Ivan, Maverick, Zeppelin and Sunny Jo; siblings, Wayne (Janene) Miller of Plainfield and Ted Miller of Grinnell; special friend and companion, Eleanor Wettengel; and extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorlene Miller; children, Rick (Jan) Miller and Lanny Miller; grandson, Bruce Miller; and sister-in-law, Happy Miller.

Ken's funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 23 at Orchard Hill Church.  Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM on Thursday, May 22 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home; resuming at 9:30 AM on Friday until the time of service at the church.  Guests are welcome to wear their favorite Hawkeye apparel to the evening visitation at the funeral home.  The committal will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 23 at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
