Kenneth Roger Haskin, 82, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.  He was born February 23, 1928 in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Ernest A. and Vesta (Clayton) Haskin.  Kenneth attended schools in Austin, Minnesota, Mitchell, Iowa and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1948.  He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1950 to 1952, attaining the rank of Corporal.  On June 23 of 1956 he married his wife of fifty-four years Sharron Porter at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls.  They did not have children but over the years Kenneth especially enjoyed his forty-four nieces and nephews and Godchildren, including them on vacations, fishing & hunting trips and enjoying their many family reunions & gatherings.  He especially enjoyed the last six Godchildren, children of his cousin Harold Clayton & was proud of their ten great Godchildren.

Kenneth retired from John Deere in 1980 with thirty years of service.  He and Sharron were landlords all of their married lives, at one point owning twenty-five rental units and doing most of the maintenance himself.  Kenneth was a 50+ year member of Masonic Lodge 65 in Cedar Falls & El Mecca Shrine, completing both York Rite and Scottish Rite.

Survived by his wife, three sisters, Dorothy (Harvey) Todalen, Austin, Minnesota, Velma Bonnerup, Albert Lea, Minneota, and Beverlee (Donald) Starry, Austin, Minnesota, four brothers, Lloyd of Independence, Iowa, James (Jean) of Dunkerton, Iowa, Ernest (Rose) of Denver, Iowa, Harold (Sharon) of Hackensack, Minnesota, brother-in-law, John (Kathy) Porter of Waterloo, and forty-four nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded by his parents, two sisters and their husbands, Eleanor & Fred Leickteig of Rose Creek, Minnesota & Arlys & Ronald Snyder of Austin, Minnesota, a sister-in-law, Jeanne Haskin of Denver, Iowa and a sister-in-law & husband, Jean & GF (Buck) Dana of Waterloo, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 26, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, with inurnment at Grandview Cemetery, Austin, Minnesota, at a later date.  Visitation will be 2—8:00 pm Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 7:00 pm Masonic Service will be conducted, and visitation one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, the church, or the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
