KENNETH A.
BUDKE, SR., 83, of Cedar Falls, Iowa,
died Tuesday, September 13, 2005, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born November 22, 1921 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Leo A. and Verna (Enloe) Budke. Ken married Norma M. Kruse on January 24, 1943 in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on September 24, 1997. Ken served with the US Army during WW II. He was a realtor for many years in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls metropolitan area, retiring in 1987.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Pat) Budke II, of Waterloo; his two daughters, Kim (Steve) Coon of Mounds, Oklahoma and Chris Blau of Shell Rock, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Shelly (Aron) Fleischmann, Josh (Katie) Budke, Luke (Maghan) Budke, Linsey and Ty Blau, and Brian and Jarod Coon; and five great-grandchildren, Brooks, Joselyn and Blake Fleischmann, and McKenna Budke and Hannah Budke.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Leo Budke.
Memorial services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2005, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be at Garden of Memories in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the family.
