Kenley Jane Carter, 4 months, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born January 22, 2013, in Waterloo, the daughter of Will & Stefanie (Tapscott) Carter. Kenley was baptized Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. From the day she was born, Kenley brought joy and smiles to her family. Mommy and Daddy love their baby girl always and forever. Survivors include her parents, Will and Stefanie Carter, of Cedar Falls; her brother, Taten Luke Carter, of Cedar Falls; paternal grandparents, Steve and Jane Carter, of Cedar Falls; maternal grandfather, Luke Tapscott, of Des Moines; paternal great grandmother, Phyllis Carter, of Cedar Falls; maternal great grandparents, John and Gaiana Tapscott of Indianola and Bud and Dixie Ellston of Des Moines; aunts and uncles, Becky and Zach Adams of Traer and Ryan Tapscott of Des Moines, and her godparents, Paul and Lindsay Rogers, of Cedar Falls. Kenley was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Bernard and Ruth DeHoff and Tom Carter, and her maternal great grandmother, Verlene Faller. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service time at the church. A memorial fund will be established.
