Keith Kimpston

Keith Kimpston, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Western Home Elizabeth Martin Center. He was born February 1, 1925 in Fayette, Iowa, the son of Allben and Maude (Patterson) Kimpston. Keith graduated from Fayette High School in 1944. He married Edith Enghausen, July 29, 1962 in Dows, Iowa. Keith served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a custodian for many years with the Cedar Falls Community School District, retiring in 1991. Survivors include his wife, Edith Kimpston, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Janelle and Juanita Kimpston, both of Waterloo; a brother, Nathan (Betty) Kimpston, of Waterloo, and a sister, Norma Lawrence, of Cedar Rapids. Keith was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
