Kazuko M Engelstad

Kazuko "Kay" Engelstad, 80, of Waterloo, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.  She was born May 11, 1929 in Naka-ku, Nagoya City, Japan, the daughter of Shohei and Kieko Maekawa.  Kay married LaVerne Engelstad in Japan, he preceded her in death on January 7, 1995.

Survivors include her family in Japan.  Kay was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Veronica Engelstad, and a sister.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at Garden of Memories in Waterloo.  Visitation will be 4—6:30 pm Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  A memorial fund will be established.
