Kathryn Eileen Julien

K. EILEEN JULIEN, 88, of Waterloo, and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Monday, November 13, 2006, at Manor Care Health Services in Waterloo. She was born August 4, 1918 at Wapello, Iowa, the daughter of Walter E. and Pearl B. (Houtz) Dotson. Eileen married Mickey C. Julien on January 20, 1955 at Las Vegas Nevada, and he preceded her in death in March of 1968. Eileen served with the Civil Air Patrol and drove an ambulance during WW II. She was a reflexologist for fifteen years, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include her son, Clifford Julien, of Cedar Falls, and two brothers, William "Billy" Hollenbeck ofYuma, Arizonaand Don Hollenbeck of Phelan, California.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband and parents, a daughter, Christie Julien, two sisters, Donna Hollenbeck and Betty Jo Rodrigues, a brother, Harry C. Hollenbeck, and her step father, Harry Ivan Hollenbeck.

Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, November 16, 2006, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Wednesday and one hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
