Kathleen M. Marks, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born June 5, 1933 in Dewar, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest F. and Pearl (Myers) Hemsath. She married Bernie D. Plumber on June 6, 1953 and they were later divorced. Kathleen married Harry C. Marks on April 2, 1982 in Cedar Falls. He died July 6, 1986. Kathleen worked for Doerfer Engineering in Cedar Falls, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Kelly (Dorri) Plumber, and a daughter, Brett (Nolan) Morris, both of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Benjamin and Kelsey Morris, and Cole Plumber; a brother, Donald (Carol) Hemsath, of Rowley, Iowa, and two sisters, Evelyn Winder and Lois Rookaird, both of Cedar Falls.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Marks; three sisters, Darlene Rigdon, Dorothy Cook and Betty Knox, and a brother, Claude Hemsath.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Hartman Reserve, Cedar Falls. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
