Kathie K. Philo

Kathie Kay Philo, 66, of Elk Run Heights, Iowa, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at her home. Kathie was born July 1, 1945 in Plainfield, Iowa, the daughter of John & LaVonna (Zinn) Kasemeier. She married Garnet Philo March 14, 1970 in Galena, Illinois. Survivors include her husband, Garnet, of Elk Run Heights; two sons, Mark Philo, of Waterloo, Iowa and Tim (Kelley) Philo, of Independence, Iowa; two daughters, Vallory (Dan) Joy, of Waterloo, Iowa and Kimberly (Jim) Whitfield, of Winslow, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Kathie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and LaVern Kasemeier. Services will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale.
