KATHARINE G. LAMB,
92, of Trumbull, Connecticut and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, November 24, 2005, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was born August 26, 1913 in Washington, DC, the daughter of Daniel J. and Ellen A. (Denefe) Gallagher. Katharine married Robert E. Lamb on June 20, 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She taught school for four years in Ottumwa and later she and her husband moved to Cedar Falls, where Katharine was a member of the Cedar Heights Woman's Club. Robert and Katharine lived in Cedar Falls for many years before moving to Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania in 1965 and later to Trumbull, Connecticut in 2003. Katharine was an avid bridge player and loved art and music, and was an excellent seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Robert, of Trumbull, Connecticut; a son, David Robert (Cozette) Lamb of Tucson, Arizona; two daughters, Linda (John) Todd of Shelton, Connecticut and Kay (Jim) Lebeda of Des Moines, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Lamb of Carlsbad, California, and many nieces and nephews.
Katharine was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard James Lamb; a brother, Donald Gallagher, and two sisters, Dorothy Rater and Maurine Toemmes.
Funeral services were 1:00 pm Saturday, December 3, 2005, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
