Karon Galivan

Karon K. Galivan, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Karon was born January 20, 1940 in Dallas County, Iowa, the daughter of Melford & Zola (Wolfe) Harrison. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School, was a dance instructor and owned the Wind Up Lounge in Traer, Iowa.

Survivors include three sons, Jon (Sheila) Hackman of Cedar Falls, Brian (Casey) Hackman of Nashua and Bill (Paula) Gallivan of Des Moines; her daughter, Cindy (Bruce) Simon of Parkersburg; ten grandchildren, Aaron (Lori) Simon, Kyle Simon, Heather Hackman, April Bowman, Trent, Kyler, Levi, Hunter and Briana Hackman and Samantha Galivan; her great grandson, Jack Simon; and her sister, Sherry Martin of Cedar Falls.

Karon was preceded in death by her special & loving friend, Bob Weber and one sister, Pearl McRoberts.

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice Home. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
