JURGEN WEBRAND was born March 1, 1918 in Dike, Iowa, the son of Henry and Dorothea (Bruns) Webrand. He married AnnaMae Factor on February 16, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa; they later divorced. He married Irene Sage on August 1, 1981 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Jurgen served in the 34th Infantry Division of the U. S. Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He was a machinist at Viking Pump for 37 years retiring in April of 1982. Jurgen died Monday, July 19, 1999 at his home at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his wife, Irene of Cedar Falls, Iowa, a son, Gary of Waterloo, Iowa, a daughter, Linda Michael of Cedar Falls, a stepdaughter, Barb Gilson of Sumner, Iowa, five grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Viola Nissen and Catherine Hansen both of Cedar Falls, Marlys Wray of Waterloo and Alice Masterson of Davenport, Iowa.  Jurgen was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Fanny Osborn and Erma Stueben.

Funeral Services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 1999 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.  Military Rites were conducted by Cedar Falls AMVET Post #49. Memorials may be given to the building fund at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
