June A. Wolfensperger 101, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, September 14, 2015, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. June was born November 27, 1913, in Aplington, Iowa, the daughter of Alton & Myrtle (Whitney) Elliott. She married Wendell Wolfensperger March 15, 1936 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death April 14, 1992. June was a spot welder at Clay Equipment Company during WWII and later a Secretary at UNI for 27 years, retiring in 1980. Her memberships include the Cedar Falls Women's Club, First Presbyterian Church since 1949 where she was a was a deacon, sang in the church choir and was in circle, the National Federation of Business Professional Women's Club, the National and Iowa Associations of Educational Secretaries and the Cedar Falls Business and Professional Women's Club. She wintered in Longboat Key, Florida for 19 years. Survivors include her son, Robert (Judy) Wolfensperger, of Jacksonville, Florida, four grandchildren, Michelle (Greg) Dahlk, Ann Mitchell, Michael (Kelly) Wolfensperger and Holly (Jeff) Tyrrell, six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her daughter, Karen Mitchell, her son-in-law, Dick Mitchell, five brothers and four sisters. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Visitation will be 5:007:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church on Friday.
