Judy A. Ovel

Judy A. Ovel, 72, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Western Home Communities Martin Health Care Center, Cedar  Falls.  She was born October 31, 1944 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of John & Agnes (Majerus) Thein.  She married Don E. Ovel May 12, 1963 in Waterloo.  They were later divorced.  She had been employed at Clark's Department Store, JoAnn Fabrics, Riddles Jewelry as well as being a daycare provider for her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Don C. (Kae) Ovel of Waterloo, Tim (Brandi) Ovel of Washburn and Rob (Tanya) Ovel of Des Moines; her daughter, Erika (Scott) Kramer of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren; one brother, Tom Thein of Waterloo; and three sisters, Pat Schmitt and Darlene (Bob) Levis, both of Waterloo and Gladys (Ken) Kessler of Florida.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Phil Ovel; two brothers and one sister.

A Celebration of Life will be from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. September 23, 2017, in the Atrium at Prairie Lakes Park, 1025 Technology Parkway. (near PIPAC Center)  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
