Judy Vande Kieft

Judy Vande Kieft, 74, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Western Home Communities-Deery Suites. Judy was born April 3, 1944 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Roy & Irene (Quam) Johnson. She married Richard Vande Kieft on January 8, 1966 in Preston, Minnesota. Judy was a homemaker and was the receptionist at Nazareth Lutheran Church for 17 years.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Melanie (Mark) Banta, of Ankeny, Iowa and Michelle (Mike) Wood, of Clive, Iowa; her son, Jason (Cori) Vande Kieft, of Madison, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, John and Sarah Banta, David and Anna Wood, and Kira, Dylan, and Eva Vande Kieft; her stepmother, Janice Johnson, of Ellensburg, Washington and her brother, Brad (Donna) Johnson, of Story City, Iowa.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church.
