Judy Kay Goetsch

Judy Kay Goetsch, 70, died late Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Cedar Valley Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born September 22, 1953 in Mason City to the late Irvin and Gloria (Jensen) Hagen.  Following her graduation from Mason City High School in 1972 she went on to attend NIACC.  Judy married the love of her life, Craig Goetsch, on November 22, 1975 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.  The couple was blessed with three children: Nicholas, Nathan and Heather.  Judy worked at Bertch Cabinets for over 25 years, retiring in 2019 as the Kitchen Dealers Service Supervisor.

Judy was a very kind hearted and compassionate person who always put others before herself.  She loved having her family together and delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy!  In her free time, Judy enjoyed basking in the sunshine while out for walks, baking, shopping and playing games.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Craig; children, Dr. Nicholas (Amy) Goetsch of Cedar Falls, Nathan (Wendi) Goetsch of Waterloo and Heather (Paul) Whisler of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Joey, Lyla, Raleigh and Eston; siblings, Gary (Toni) Hagen of Clear Lake and Pam (Randy) Fike of Mason City; and extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for Judy will be 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Orchard Hill Church, Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at church.  Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls.  Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
