Juanita A Smith

Juanita A. Smith, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab. Juanita was born August 16, 1928, at Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Finney & Mildred (Waker) Owen. She married Earl F. Smith June 29, 1947, at Marshalltown, Iowa. He preceded her in death August 23, 2008. Juanita was employed as a Food Service Supervisor at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1990, after 21 years of service.

Survivors include two sons, Terry (Vicki) Smith, of Cedar Falls and Donald (Terri) Smith, of Fairfield, Washington; four grandchildren, Becky Smith, Boyd (fiancée Ashley) Smith, Monica (Jerry) Szep and Ben (Jessie) Kiddoo; six great grandchildren, Chris Kiddoo, Cory Szep, Jordan Szep, Johnathan Szep, Michael Kiddoo, and Matthew Kiddoo, and expecting another great grandchild.

Juanitawas preceded in death by her parents and husband, three half sisters, Bonnie, Kathryn and Leolia; and two half brothers, Floyd and Emmit.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and for one hour prior to service time Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
