Joyce Harness

Joyce Harness, 80, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Urbana, Ohio and Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes. She was born August 12, 1935 in Mutual, Ohio, the daughter of Theodore and Clara (Baldwin) Glass. Joyce married Ralph W. Harness and he preceded her in death May 28, 2000. She is survived by three daughters, Regina (Charles) Everhart of Waterloo, Dianne (Don) Van Hoose of Springfield, Ohio, and Teresa (Ron) Johnston of Spokane, Washington; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, and two sisters, Irene Shaffer and Thelma Wolfe, both of Urbana, Ohio. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and husband, two sisters, Erma Sawyer and Goldie Anway, and a brother, Donald Glass. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel in Cedar Falls,with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park. Visitation will be 57:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at NewAldaya Chapel. Memorial may be directed to the family.
