Joyce Elaine Andorf

Joyce Elaine Andorf, 88, Dysart, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at UnityPoint Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

Joyce was born February 17, 1936 in Garrison to the late Christian and Marcella (Burkey) Grimm of Waterloo, Iowa.  She married LeRoy Andorf on December 30, 1956 in Dysart.  They lived in Wheaton, Illinois for 26 years before returning to Dysart to live, when LeRoy retired in 1990.    Joyce and LeRoy celebrated 38 years together before his death on May 29, 1995.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Kenneth L. (Terri) of Garrison and Michael R. (Sandy) of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Meredith of Mt. Auburn, Nicole (Justin) Messer of Dysart, Brittney (Jake) Matzen of Garrison, Chelsea (Clayton) Voss of North English, Kayla Andorf of Waterloo and Christy (Matt) Waterman of Bondurant; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Eli, Erika, Rachel, Arica, Ian, Kenslee, Kasen, Penley, Torin, Loxley, Jolie, Calynn, Conner and Bristol; and extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine Williams, Darlys Oberheu and Donna Mae Fleming.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.  Interment will be at 12:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Hudson beside her beloved husband.
