Josephine E Gray

Josephine "Jo" E. Gray, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born July 11, 1915 in La Porte City, the daughter of George and Maude (Carpenter) Casbon. Jo married Clifford Kraft in 1941 and he preceded her in death. She married Owen T. Gray on December 30, 1945 at Denver, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1995. Jo worked for Rath Packing Company for thirty years.

She is survived by two daughters, Dixie (Tom) Manley, of Cedar Falls and Joan (Larry) Schuetz, of Sun Rise Beach, Missouri; four grandchildren, John Manley, Chris Phillips, Melissa (Colby) Nelson and Amy Nelson;  eleven great grandchildren, and one sister, Catherine Casbon, of Waterloo.

Jo was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, four brothers, Robert, Sylvester, Ira and Vilah Casbon, and two sisters, Emma Eldrige and Genieve Burman.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.  Visitation will be 4—6 p.m. Friday, August 6, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.
