JOSEPH R. "PETE" PINSONNEAULT was born May 28, 1937 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the son of Gerald and Jeannette (LaLiberte) Pinsonneault. He married Nancy Bryan on August 12, 1961 in Phillip, South Dakota. Pete served with the U.S. Air Force for 8 years and was the manager of Porter's Camera Warehouse Outlet Store for 15 years, retiring in May of 2000. He served on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Bowhunting Association for 15 years and was a member of the Advisory Board for the Photography Department at Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, Iowa. Pete died Monday, June 3, 2002, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, at 65 years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; his two daughters, Cindy Sanders and Liza Kiewiet, both of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren and a sister, Pauline Terrien of South Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
