JOHN H. "JACK"
SECOR was born December 18, 1935 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Frank William and Leona A. (Cowan) Secor. He married Georgia Swartz on April 9, 1962, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. Jack served with the U. S. Army and was employed in the smokehouse at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo for 30 years and Wonder Bread Bakery in Waterloo for 15 years, retiring in 2000. He died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, at 65 years of age.
Jack is survived by his wife Georgia, of Waterloo; his children, Jeffrey John Secor and his wife Betty of Alabama,Tim H. Secor of Waterloo, Penny A. Henson and her husband Butch of La Porte City, Iowa and Lisa M. of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Samantha and Elizabeth Secor, Curtis and Lucas Mather, and Daniel and Amber Henson, and three sisters, Virginia Kail of Carlisle, Iowa, Donna Cordray of Waterloo and Betty Kuepker of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jenny Ann Secor; a sister, Kathryn Warmuth and five brothers, Donald, Robert, William, Frank and Richard Secor.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waterloo, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
