JOHN C.
MYERS, 62, of 602 Eleventh St. in Charles City, Iowa, was born April 26, 1937 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of John H. and Charleen (Duckett) Myers. He married Marlene Neelans on July 21, 1956 in Waterloo, Iowa, they were later divorced. John was employed by the City of Cedar Falls and Schultz Manufacturing in Waterloo. He died Friday, December 31, 1999, at Floyd County Hospital in Charles City, Iowa, at 62 years of age.
John is survived by two daughters, Pamela Cordes and Tammy Jo Gram, both of Waterloo; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sarah "Sally" Ver Steeg of Cedar Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John R. Myers; and three brothers, Lee D., Thomas, and Clyde Myers.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2000, at the funeral home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.
