John Jepsen

John E. Jepsen, 58, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.  He was born December 29, 1958 in Cedar Falls, the son of Myron and Bertie (Colville) Jepsen.  John married Ellen Miller on August 27, 1993 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced.  John graduated from Northern University High School in 1977 and earned his degree in Auto Mechanics at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo.  He was a farmer, a semi driver for Northland Products and an auto mechanic for Rampart Construction.  John was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his son, Aaron (fiance, Sarah Phillips) Jepsen and his daughter, Annika Jepsen, both of Cedar Falls; his mother, Bertie Jepsen, of Cedar Falls; his best friend, Ellen Jepsen, of Cedar Falls; his brother, Doug (fiance, Kristine Creighton) Jepsen, of Madeira Beach, Florida, and two sisters, Mary Kae (Bruce) Hanson of Wesley, Iowa and Julie (Rod) Johnson of Venice, Florida.

John was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
