John Louis Crabb, 67, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. He was born May 8, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Dallas J. and Ellen M. (Larsen) Crabb . He married Joanne Shea June 27, 1986 in Waterloo. John graduated from East High School, Sioux City in 1966 and from the University of Iowa in 1970 with a business degree and was an avid Hawkeye fan. He owned and operated Crabb Custom Siding for fourteen years and retired from Barnes Building Material in 2013. John loved fly fishing and talking about Jesus. He had an authentic faith and lived each day to please the Lord. He was an active member of Trinity Bible Church for 28 years, where he mentored and taught in the Adult Bible Fellowship.

John is survived by his wife, Joanne Crabb of Cedar Falls; two sons, Aaron (Alice) Crabb of Ankeny, Iowa and Isaiah (Carrie) Crabb of Overland Park, Kansas, and five grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Lydia, and Anna Crabb, and Andrew Crabb.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Trinity Bible Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and Trinity Bible Church. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
