John W. Campbell

John W. Campbell, 84, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, April 20, 2018 at  NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.  He was born November 20, 1933 in Oakville, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Katherine (Ellensen) Campbell.  John married Joyce Owens May 29, 1955.  He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving  in the United States Army.  John graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a BA degree. He was a CPA with Campbell-Higgins-Mummerts  Accounting Firm in Spencer, Iowa for thirty five years, retiring in 2001. John started and was a active member of many Non Profit Organizations in Spencer, he also was active in the Iowa Society of CPA.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Campbell, of Cedar Falls; one son, David (Jen) Campbell, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Dianne Campbell, of Cedar Falls and Janet Campbell, of DeForest, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger (JoAnne) Campbell, of Mediapolis, Iowa and Keith (Diane) Campbell, of Sperry, Iowa, and one sister, Barb (Wilkes) Price, of Trinity, North Carolina.

J ohn was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard Campbell, and one great grand daughter, Scarlet Steggeman.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Orchard Hill Church.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 23 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Orchard Hill Church and to UNI Grid Iron Club.  Military honors will be conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post # 49.
