JOHN FRANKLIN
BURCH, was born on April 23, 1920 in Juneau, Alaska the son of William and Juanita (Shangle) Burch. He married Gertrude Lauterbach on October 11, 1961 in Cordova, Alaska. John was a commercial fisherman in Alaska. He died on Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa at 78 years of age.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude of Cedar Falls, Iowa, his son, Paul Burch of Waterloo, Iowa, his brother, Donald Burch of Cordova, Alaska and seven nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, 1999 at First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Stout Cemetery, Stout, Iowa A memorial fund will be established.
