Jody Rae Hundley, of Gladstone, MO. (Kansas City, MO.) passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on July 10, 1957, in Cedar Falls, to Betty and Donald Hundley, the youngest of five siblings and an identical twin to Judy, (Dennis, Steve, Sandy, Judy
and Jody). Jody grew up in Cedar Falls, graduating from Cedar Falls High School in 1975 and Hawkeye Technical College graduating in 1976.
Jody worked for Rock Island Mill Work in Waterloo, selling Anderson doors and windows for 10 years. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1986 where she worked in sales for Pella Doors and Windows for more than 14 years. Jody, then, changed careers and worked for DeBruce Grain Brokerage and The Redwood Group Grain Brokerage in the accounts payable department. She, truly, loved the job and the people with whom she worked.
Jody loved traveling which included a trip to Switzerland, England, Italy including a ride on the Orient Express from Switzerland to Italy. She enjoyed collecting P. Buckley Moss prints, Roseville Pottery and researching Genealogy. Jody took time off between career changes to research her family history and traced it back to the early to mid-1700's. She loved miniature dachshunds and raised 2 of them over the years, Beans and
Zoey, who traveled with her wherever she went.
Jody was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jean (Mulford) Hundley and Donald Russel Hundley. She is survived by her Significant Other of 41 loving years, Vince Hoffman; her bothers, Dennis Hundley, Steve (Debbie) Hundley; sisters, Sandy (Jim) McBride and identical twin sister, Judy (Earl) VanSickle; and many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Breast Cancer or Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or your favorite local animal shelter.
The family would like to, especially, thank the North Kansas City Hospital Hospice House for the kind and compassionate care they provided Jody.
