Joanne J. Mayfield

Joanne J. Mayfield, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.  She was born December 11, 1942 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Fred L. and Alice F. (Sells) Hugh.  Joanne married Larry L. Mayfield on July 17, 1967 in Unionville, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on May 20, 2005.  She attended New Hartford High School and became a homemaker and mother.

Joanne is survived by her children, Mark Richard Mayfield, Shelly Jo Messina, Kelly Jean Boesen, and Anne M. Ripley; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Faye Bass, and her friend, Patrick Gardner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two brothers, Louie and Donald Hugh, and five sisters, Julia Weer, Ida Folken, Betty Richter, Lois Bertram and Frances Haan.
