Joann Vognsen

JoAnn Vognsen, 73, of Cedar Falls, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.  She was born May 6, 1950 in Aplington, Iowa, the daughter of Henry A. and Betty Ann (Keith) Eiklenborg.  JoAnn married Steven Vognsen on March 12, 1971 in Aplington.  She worked for 22 years for the Cedar Falls School System.  JoAnn enjoyed and taught Country Western dance and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Stephanie (Phil) Gonnerman and Jodi (Dave) Fisher, both of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Madison Gonnerman, Drew Fisher, Megan Gonnerman, Jacob Fisher, Carter Fisher, and two brothers-in-law, Scott Vognsen of Parkersburg, Iowa and Bill (Linda) Vognsen of Cedar Falls.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, her twin, Jerold Eiklenborg and Henry L. Eiklenborg, and in laws, Chris and Eleanor Vognsen.

Visitation will be 4 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with private graveside services at a later date.  In lieu of flowers/plants, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice. www.DahlFuneralHome.com
