Jessica Spear

Jessica Jean Spear, 3, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, September 7, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. She was born October 29, 2005 in Waterloo, the daughter of Mike and Chrissy (Larsen) Spear. Jessica attended Community United Child Care, Valley Park Center, in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include her parents of Cedar Falls; a half sister, Samantha Spear, and half brother, Clayton Spear, both of Waterloo; maternal grandparents, Larry and Twyla Larsen, of Oelwein, Iowa; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Spear, of Clayton, Iowa; maternal great grandparents, Eugene and Anna Mae Nodland, of Frost, Minnesota, and Luella Larsen, of Cedar Falls, and an uncle, Steve (Patty) Spear, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Jessica was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ed Spear, and maternal great grandfather, Herbert Larsen.

Services will be 10:30 am Friday, September 11, 2009, at Heartland Vineyard Church, with burial at Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5—8:00 pm Thursday, September 10, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
