Jennaven Loy, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, October 5, 2013, in Cedar Falls under the care of Hospice. She was born December 29, 1926 in Grundy County, Iowa, the daughter of William Sr. & Jennie (Janssen) Peters. She married Kenneth Loy April 30, 1949 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death February 2, 2001. Jennaven worked in the office at Consolidated Aircraft in Tucson, Arizona and also at John Deere & Company in Waterloo. Survivors include four daughters, Colleen (Craig) Fanton, of Waterloo, Patricia (Mike) Huff and Diane (Monty) McFarlane, both of Cedar Falls, and Nancy (Jim) Klinger, of Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and her lifetime friend, Margie Kramer Sloan, of Parkersburg, Iowa. Jennaven was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one daughter, Sally Rindels; two great grandsons, Benjamin Ricketts and Carver McFarlane; one brother, William Peters; and two sisters, Matilda Dreesman and Marian Fredrick. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Memorials may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Association.
