Jeffrey L Mehmen

Jeffrey Lee Mehmen, 43, of Cedar Falls died of cancer, Sunday, September 24, 2006 at his home. Jeff was born April 21, 1963 in Cedar Falls, Iowa the son of Henry G. & Anna E. (Mabry) Mehmen. He was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and had attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo for two years. Jeff was a manager of Long John Silvers, Iowa Star Clipper Dinner Train, Holiday Inn, Ramada Inn, and the Broom Factory, throughout his life. He was a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cedar Valley Lodge #233 and Happy Thought Rebekah Lodge #256.

Survivors include two brothers, James A. Mehmen and Gary D. Mehmen, both of Cedar Falls; two nephews, James F. (Lorri) Mehmen of Cedar Falls and Jason J. (Kristie) Mehmen of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his great nephew, Austin J. Mehmen and his great niece, Elizabeth "Libby" Mehmen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law, Sharon K. Mehmen.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with interment at Finchford Cemetery, Finchford, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and for one hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a Rebekah service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday by Happy Thought Rebekah Lodge #256 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
