Jeff Assink

Jeff Assink, 57, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. He was born July 15, 1961 in Cedar Falls, the son of Gerald and Judith (Wheeler) Assink. Jeff married Connie Myers Rewerts on September 21, 1996 in Shell Rock, Iowa. Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and owned C & J Construction for many years. He was a past volunteer firefighter with the Shell Rock Fire Dept.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Connie Assink, of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Ashley (Ehren) Marks, of Waverly, Iowa; his four sons, Scott (Samantha) Rewerts and David Rewerts, both of Shell Rock, Justin (Molly Bolt) Assink of New Hartford, Iowa and Trevor (Samantha Kettwig) Assink of Shell Rock; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; his father, Gerald (Genie Ashworth) Assink, of Lakeland, Florida; his brother, Jon Assink, of Mays Landing, New Jersey, and his sister, Janna McLaulin, of Bartow, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A Celebration of Life will be 3—6:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service, where a 5:00 p.m. Time of Sharing will be conducted.  A reception will be held afterwards at the Cedar Falls Fraternal Order of Eagles on W.
