Jeanne M. Sammons

Jeanne M. Sammons, 70, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo. She was born September 9, 1946 in Cedar Falls. Jeanne married Larry Sammons on March 20, 1965 in Fountain, Colorado. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and the University of Northern Iowa. Jeanne was a school bus driver for both the Cedar Falls and New Hartford School Districts and later was a librarian at the Waterloo Public Library. She enjoyed gardening and photography, and was a member of the New Hartford Women's Club, New Hartford Lot Restoration and the New Hartford Book Club.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Larry Sammons, of Cedar Falls; her two daughters, Barbara (Doug) Krause of Waverly, Iowa and Brenna (John) Franken of Schaller, Iowa; her son, Brian Sammons, of Grundy Center, Iowa; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; her brother, David Jungling, of Waterloo, and her sister, Dixie (Allen) Blasberg, of Tripoli, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Margaret (Jacobsen) Jungling.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at New Hartford United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before service at the church.
