Jeanette Antrim

Jeanette A. Antrim, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, April 3, 2017, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. Jeanette was born November 12, 1925 in Grundy County, Iowa, the daughter of Willie & Mable (North) Kroemer. She married Ernest Antrim December 27, 1945 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death September 4, 1983. Jeanette graduated from Northern University High School and was a librarian at the University of Northern Iowa for 21 years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include her daughter, Marlene Shea of Cedar Falls; one grandson, Scott (Danielle) Shea of Cedar Falls; one step grandson, Scott (Cori) McCumsey of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; two great grandchildren, Jaylin Shea and Thomas Shea; three step great grandchildren, Josiah McCumsey, Ella McCumsey and Emily McCumsey; and one brother, Marvin (Fran) Kroemer of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Rodney (Norma) Kroemer.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in rural Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
